Who we are
Tahmar Enterprises Limited operates a 45 KLPD grain-based distillery at Beradwadi, Taluka Gadhinglaj, in the Kolhapur district of Western Maharashtra. The plant converts maize, jowar, broken rice and other grain into rectified spirit and extra neutral alcohol, recovers distillers' grain as high-protein animal feed, and is licensed to bottle country liquor and Indian Made Foreign Liquor on site.
The company was incorporated in 1991 as Sarda Papers Limited. Its equity shares are listed on BSE Limited under scrip code 516032.

Our journey
From a paper company to a licensed grain distillery.
- 1991Incorporated as Sarda Papers Limited
The company is incorporated and makes coated paper for the next eighteen years.
- 2009Paper operations suspended
Paper manufacturing stops and the company looks for a new business.
- December 2022A new name and new objects
Members approve, by postal ballot, new main objects and the name Tahmar Enterprises Limited.
- March 2023The distillery is acquired
Tahmar acquires the grain distillery at Beradwadi, Gadhinglaj, through a business transfer agreement. The conveyance is registered in April 2024.
- January 2026Fresh Consent to Operate
The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board grants a Consent to Operate in Tahmar's name, valid to 2029, for the full product slate.
- May 2026Distillation licences renewed
The Commissioner of State Excise renews the grain distillation and denatured spirit licences for 2025-26 and 2026-27.
- July 2026Tahmar Energy launched
Tahmar enters renewable energy with Tahmar Energy, which lets consumers own solar plants in off-site farms.
- August 2026IMFL sanction and bottling approval
The Home Department sanctions a licence to make IMFL from grain spirit, and bottling is approved. The bottling line is ready for commissioning.
